Download the Flashcut DCN Utility and the manual.
You mean the Logosol software? I didnt know FC has one too.
It's the same I believe. You can download it from FC

Just a little progress and a test fit of the back panel.
Got all the boards on standoffs.
Set up the contactor for the switched side and din rails for both switched and unswitched.
Dont mind the existing wires, those will be cleaned up.

Marty, in the original cabinet as you see in this bottom pic. There are 2 relays that go to the VFD (I am guessing FWD/REV).
Though I am sure they are nice units, is there any reason to use them?
I mean the Ethernet 1616 can duplicate their role I am sure and I could clean up the cabinet a little more.
See any issue there?

I did end up removing the existing relays in the cabinet.
Used R5 & R6 on the main relay board.
I followed one of Franco’s videos and it works well via VCP or MDI forward and reverse.
It wasnt in the order of set up but I was waiting on parts from Mouser.

So now I am on to the signals for the drive.
The way the drivers were connected in FlashCut used Step, Direction, Enable, Com, Fault Emitter & Fault Collector.
The drives signals are 5v.
I used the DB25 connector and a breakout board to use Step and Direction pins at 5v.
Step and Direction is pretty straight forward or so I thought.
Reading the drive manual to which I will link.
The Com is a 5v+. That isnt how I understand it.
In the other references to com on the Acorn they are v-.

These are the connections on the drive.
I am using the original power supply and connections within the FlashCut control box.
I assumed that if the coms were tied together then using the DB25 and its 5v would be compatible.
I would like someone to verify before I make any other connections. It is page 5 of this manual referring to CN3 that caused my alarm.

Just a gratuitous shot of the DB25 breakout board.

Marty, Is there any issue with connecting and looking into the drives settings as they are now?
I do have the cable needed and can download the software from either place. All patch cables are still
connected as they were.
