DB9 panel connector

Post by ScotY »

Hello,

I have ordered a Switchcraft EHDB9FF DB9 panel connector, female-female like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Switchcraft-EHDB ... 3913&psc=1

I have a similar male-male connector (happens to be DB25) and each side is a mirror of the other and the pins would seem to be straight through from one side to the other. Anyway, this has me a bit confused. Do these things mix up the pin order? I can't imagine they would but if anyone has used them, please let me know. I'm trying to rewire my control box and am working on the encoder wiring...still waiting for the panel connector to arrive.

Thanks!

The pins in the link are numbered I'm using some db9 breakout style and they are numbered as well. Just match the numbers on the wired side to the pin side. Maybe I'm not completely understanding your question, but if I am than just make sure the correct wires match the pin numbers on the male and female side it should be pretty straight forward to wire them.

Thanks, Dan. That connector I mentioned keeps all the pin numbers correct, as I assumed. Works great!
