One problem fixed. Now a new one. FIXED

When i power off my mill all 3 axis jump about an 1/8 inch to the positive.
Power off procedure:
Park
Power Off (wait for the computer to shut down)
Hit the switch on the power supply

Its when i hit the switch and kill power to everything its jumping.

If i unplug the DB25 before hitting the main power there is no movement.

Can you wire in some form of 'enable' circuit which is cut when you put the machine in Reset mode?

How did you wire the drives?
Did you use the Centroid schematic and did you follow it exactly? What power supply are you using? Pictures?

Yes i followed the centroid schematic. only wires i omitted for now was the alarm connections. im using a 600w 60v antek toroidal.

Is there any way to use the enable pin? the dyn requires 5v to the pin and the ena out on the acorn is to common i believe.

By default, the ACORN will pull the ENA output to COM when it's energized. If you are using the screw terminals, the ENA is an open collector output which means that the output is pulled to COM when active and floating when not active. That is why there needs to be some type of pullup resistor to pull that signal to whatever voltage is needed for the drive. The output on the DB25 connector is tied to a push-pull driver which means that the output will either be 0V or +5V.

Some drives require the inputs to be an active HIGH signal rather than an active LOW signal. In order to accommodate for those drives, you can invert the output using the wizard so that in an active state, the output will float rather than being pulled down to COM and will be pulled to COM when in an inactive state. Some drives may have a jumper or a parameter which can be set to tell the drive whether the inputs are expecting to be active HIGH or LOW.
This post sounds like what i need to do? what size resistor?

I contacted DMM and they said the enable circuit should work and if not i will need to add a time delay so the drives power off before the acorn. i added a enable circuit with 270ohm resistors. fixed the problem. now i have to work on cleaning up my terrible wiring.
