Hi guys searched for an answer for this ? Have a large router table 1000mm by 1800mm with belt drives on y and X with two 600 oz nema 23 x is 450oz with leadshine DM856 drivers what I am getting is my movements if I jog my y axis or my z axis in incremental mode .100 at a time are within .002 to .004 but my DRO's dont move at .100 per incremental jog they will move .1003 then .1999 then .3002 and so on not stopping on even numbers like one would expect homing to limit switches all axis . So what is causing this and is it something to be concerned about. I do have backlash compensation turned on and my movements with digital and analog indicators are repeatable and about as close as I can get them. X revs per are 1200 with turns ratio 1.138 lash comp at .008 y is 600 revs per and turns ratio 1.134 backlash comp is .006 my test parts are within +.002 on x axis and almost +.005 on the Y axis. Thanks guys just trying to understand the DRS seem misleading when jogging incremental ??
