Charlie...
That's what I use for most of my projects. On line 97 there is a line that says " G4 P2" which is a 2 second pause for spindle up to speed. If you have to make the pause longer, change the pause to a larger number. Close VCPro and reopen, and you are good to go.

Re: POST PROCESSOR QUESTIONS
Gary,
thanks I will see if the factory setting is long enough...
if not I will alter it as you described I will let you know
how it works out.

Re: POST PROCESSOR QUESTIONS
Hi Gary
I have been hacking away at the Centroid PP that came with Aspire trying to make it a bit
more router friendly. There was a whole section in there labeled tool change which I removed
as I am using the tool change macro which Scott wrote. Seems to work although I am just running
it on the bench at the moment. I would be interested in your take on this if you don't mind.
BTW, I'll see you in April at McGrews.

Re: POST PROCESSOR QUESTIONS
Larry...
I am doing the same.
Before I answer you need to clarify one thing: There are 2 methods that can be used...
1) The single tool method (most common) where only toolpaths that use a given bit are included in a file. Could be numerous toolpaths, but all use the same bit. Bits are NOT changed during execution of the file. The preferred "zero Z" method can be done before file is loaded or right at file beginning.
2) The toolchange method, where any number of uniquely numbered tools can be used in a given file, each with multiple toolpaths if needed. User is prompted to manually change, then set length, each new bit during the execution of the cutting file. The preferred "zero Z" method must be done at beginning of file, and then each time a tool is manually changed by the user.
Which one are you working on?

Re: POST PROCESSOR QUESTIONS
Hi Gary
I am using the single tool method as output by Aspire. One tool bit for the
entire program. Separate program for each cutter.

Then yes, you would want to remove the toolchange section from yourpostP and remove the M6 also

Re: POST PROCESSOR QUESTIONS
Gary,
I had a chance to check the v-carve pro today
it work perfectly, (I changed the delay to 5 seconds)
what a difference in smoothness of cut from Mach3 I checked my size
to see if the output of the g code matched what was actually
being machined it was within .001 of an inch I will see if I can get it closer
but not to concerned if I cannot I think that is quite good for a router.
I wanted to thank you for your help with my issues I am also going to
try multiple tool changes to see how that works as well.
