Hey guys!
I wired up my huanyang VFD as per schematics. I got it wired enough to have CNC12 turn on the spindle only for the clockwise rotation and having control for the spindle speed dialed in with a deviation of 40-50rpm from Huanyang readout.
My problem is that when I wire up the FB and FA (even interchanged the wiring sequence) and also playing around with the NO and NC in the wizard and also trying the SpindleOK and DriveOK, the software will fault when the spindle turns ON.
Changing the NO/NC (depending on what pinouts were used in the VFD) will trigger a fault signal in CNC12 thus cannot be reset.
However, assuming that the NO/NC settings was correct in a sense that the CNC12 doesnt detect a fault, the problem comes when turning on the spindle both manual and auto from a program. It turns on for a second then CNC12 says spindle fault.
No problems when removing the input for fault detection.
By the way, I am using a CAT6 wire using 1 pair for the analog and single lines for the signal.
Any ideas guys?

Can you post the wiring diagram for the VFD?

Hi Gary
When I got my VFD it didnt come with a user manual. This is from a e-manual i was able to find online.

Re: Huanyang VFD Fault Detection Input
I think there is an error in the HY wiring diagram. Use terminals FB & FC
attached are a couple photos of my lathe with HY VFD and a shot of the Wizard I/O screen:
HY Manual is here: http://www.hy-electrical.com/download3.htm
Otherwise follow the HY Schematic

Re: Huanyang VFD Fault Detection Input
Are you connecting 24v com to "FB" and either FA or FC to an input? (configured as Marty shows?)

Re: Huanyang VFD Fault Detection Input
I hooked it up same as marty's. I played around with changing the leads from FB and FC also FB and FA while changing the NC or NO which even would work without getting a fault signal on CNC12. Its only when I turn on the spindle then after a brief moment the spindle stops and CNC12 detects a fault. I only took out the wires on my picture as everything works fine without the fault detection for testing,

Re: Huanyang VFD Fault Detection Input
maybe there there is a PD setting in the VFD that I might be missing?

Re: Huanyang VFD Fault Detection Input
I did some digging and this might be the culprit.
What do you think?
Gonna test it when I can tomorrow.
PD052 should be set to value 3 right?
since fault trips when spindle turns on then that proves that the factory settings of value 1 where relay will close/open on spindle start thus causing the fault.
