That is Windows "Snapping" it there for you..... and once it does, Windows won't let you move it.

In VCP Options there is a selection for disabling "snapping"

Hi Centroid team and fans.

I'm have just started my Acorn journey and is right now on bench testing and have a problem with VCP not displaying at all.

I don't think the VCP is hiding in the background, it seems like it just won't start. I have read all threads I can find here in the forum and tried all tips presented.

Here is some system info:

CNC12 v. 4.820
AOC touch screen 16:9 1920x1080.
Windows 10 Enterprise is set to desktop mode.
.NET is updated to latest version.
I have reinstalled CNC12 three times just to make sure.
I have not touched any of the VCP skins or xml-files.
VCP won't start when running the .exe file in the system folder.

Any ideas what I can adjust to make the VCP appear?

Many thanks from Sweden!
Best regards,
Måns

Just out of curiosity, once CNC12 is up and running, if you use Windows (File Explorer or a Command Prompt) to launch "VirtualControlPanel.exe", does it appear?

Hi both! Thanks for your replies.

I have a Swedish keyboard. I have now set the language settings to US English but it made no difference.

When I run CNC12 I can see in the Windows Task Manager that VirtualControlPanel.exe did not start. And when I run VirtualControlPanel.exe manually from File Explorer it does show up in the Task Manager as a running process together with something called VirtualJogPanel. But I can't see the VCP anywhere despite it is running in the background.

But on occasion while exiting and restarting CNC12 the VirtualJogPanel sometimes have showed up, but it does not do that regurarly. Both the VCP and the VirtualJogPanel are visible as applications in the Windows Task Bar, but nothing happens clicking any of them. Also no available way to maximise/resize/move the windows from the Task Bar.

Hi again!

Now it works. I just needed to change the time format to US and now it launches the VCP and everything seems to work as it should.

Are you using a WIDESCREEN monitor? (16:9 aspect ratio)? Or an old square monitor? If the latter, that's likely your problem.
I have a touch screen ELO 1515L (square) and am having problems with the VCP. Is there a way to make this monitor work??

cnc12 and vcp require 1920x1080 (wide screen) format to run on the same monitor,
review the CNC PC requirements
