Hey Guys I am looking into connecting a Chinese frequency drive to my Acorn I have studied the schematics for connecting the HUAN YANG VFD to the Acorn it looks similar o-10 volt on the Huan Yang VFD the Potentiometer input is 10 volt is this where the imput from the AN-Out connects to I think this should be the correct connection so all that's left is forward and reverse connections and also if the drive faults the Acorn will stop the only thing I don't see is reset connection. Thanks Dave

Unless your VFD manual specifically states it can accept a 0-10vdc analog input I do not believe your drive will work. The pot signal appears to be 5v.

Would hat be the analog voltage frequency reference voltage Marty VI1 on the pinout the manual references two different VFD's one the potentiometer gets 10 volts and mine is 5 volts Thanks Marty !!!

No
Acorn supplies the 0-10VDC analog voltage. Not the drive. Don't connect Acorn to the VFD's terminals. As I said, if the manual does not specifically say where to land a 0-10VDC reference signal, I don't think it can be done. I have seen VFD's actually have the terminals, but leave the circuitry for analog input out, silicone the terminals so you can't insert the wires. Cost savings measure on the part of the Chinese. Same with braking resistors, terminals there, no circuitry. Typical of Huan Yang inverters. You have to SPECIFICALLY ask for the feature.

I think if you want CNC12 to control your spindle speed, you will have to change out your VFD.

Well guys I have my spindle running with YL600 runs great! here is the final wiring for what made it work it is very simple thanks for all your support studied some other posts and connected it up and worked the first time no problems be sure to go into the programming and change the parameters for P07.08 to 3 and P00.01 to 1 that's it ! sorry about the sideways picture Thanks David
