Did you try this?
diycncscott wrote: Mon Feb 05, 2018 11:48 am Disconnect the wires from the Acorn to the DMM. I'm sure you will find it is 0VDC with them disconnected.

Double checked. Tested and confirmed here. Please post a report

It only does it when you have the DMM Dyn 4 Servo drive hooked up to the pins, and the motor runs on it's own without any commands at all.
And if you measure the pins while it runs, the voltage is at .6 to .7 volts on the analog output pin's of Acorn .

If i remove the servo it goes to zero ,that is the problem we are having it needs to stay at zero , with the servo hooked up or you have a motor going with out command.

Dmm is supposed to start a exchange program for those drives that are used for spindle's, and send out new ones with parameter changes to alleviate the issues.
They should announce soon on this program i hope

Can you verify this is in manual and automatic? I am not at home this week so I cannot re-test. When I was testing mine, and the Acorn booted in manual mode there was voltage on the analog output even when nothing was connected.

Ok i re-tested, remove DYN4 drive from analog out put Acorn.

Acorn voltage when in automatic (S0) =.185 volts at commanded Spindle( 0 ) speed, commanded max spindle speed=volts 10.4

Manual mode when first switched to manual .623 volts then use minus button to reduce to final voltage of = .235 (lowest it would go) ,high 10.2 volt's max volts.

I am not sure what is going on, but these are the results tested four time's, same readings using new fluke meter , my other meter wants to come on in mili - volts can be a pain if you do not catch it .

Can someone please , test there analog out voltage at automatic and manual with out any thing hooked to the pins and also report what version of the board and software they are using ,mine is( version 3 )I believe removable pin headers and cnc 12.

I believe diycncscott tested and got his to change but i could not get mine to do so with the file he provided .

It does look as though you have the updated PLC.

Press alt-i to bring up the real-time I/O screen. The second line down are the outputs with OUT1 starting at the far left.

OUT17-OUT28 are the digital to analog(DAC) outputs used for the 0-10VDC. They should ALL be off (Red) when the spindle is not on. In your case that means SpinFwd (Out3) and SpinRev(Out5) are both off.(Red).

Auto or manual spindle mode should no longer be a factor.

Yes they are red.voltage out at this very time .185vdc there was only on output green and it was #1.

Ok. The Acorn is not commanding any voltage. It sounds as the the voltage level is floating due to the Dyn4 connection. With it disconnected is it 0?(or very nearly - testing here we were at 15mv)

Are you using shielded, twisted pair wiring? What gauge? How long is the run? Is it run along side any other wiring?
