Stepper Motor Not Working

I have recently purchased an Acorn control board and have been trying to config it with the bench test. I'm pretty sure that I have all my wiring hooked up right but can't seem to be able to get my stepper motor working. I am using a Chinese micro step driver H860 s.2.0 with a bipolar stepper motor with four wires. I have determined which wires are paired and have hooked one motor for the test. I have aslo set up the wizard based on videos I have watched but not really sure if I have all my setting correct. I have also attached my Centoid report to assist with your diagnosis of what I may be doing wrong. I am looking forward to hearing back from the support group so that I can get this figured out and up and running soon.

I have also checked the forum for help but could not find anything that would help. Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.

hello. the report shows an input #1 for a X axis + limit switch defined. do you have a limit switch connected?

Yes I do.

I watched your schematic video presentation on how to wire up an Acorn board and that's what I then attempted to do including adding a limit and emergency switch in my wiring in a NC configuration.

I have a question for you Keith. Is it critical to operating the Acorn to have a clean Windows 10 setup? I am running my laptop without having dedicated it entirely to the Centroid software. Just wondering whether this would have any effect on running my stepper motor.

hello.
please start with the bench test radio button selected and no limit switches or estop connected.
"bench test" will drive the motors and ignore inputs to make it easy to get motors running first.

windows 10 is required to run CNC12 cnc software and should be configured to run CNC12 as per the instructional videos.
its always best to start with a clean install.
if cnc12 is "talking" to the acorn board, you will be able to run motors.

I have been trying different things to get my stepper to turn with no success so far. My bench test worked fine but when I hook up my H860 driver I continually end up getting a error message telling me that a limit switch has tripped and I can't find what is causing this to happen. I have been following the Acorn Connections to Leadshine DM Series Stepper Drive schematic which resembles my setup and have also set up the Wizard accordingly. I suspect one of my software settings is incorrect as I think all my wiring is okay. I also have attached my report to assist you with your diagnosis.

I am not sure how to reactivate this post or whether I am required to restart it all over again as I have not had any response to my latest problem with running my stepper motor with my Acorn controller.

Is that a Leadshine H860 or a clone there of? Try disconnecting the limits & resetting the wizard to match. Also disconnecting the ENA. I just had a similar problem with Leadshine DM542's I got from an Amazon seller. Finally had to send them back. The almost identical Longs Motor DM542A's I plugged in with the exact same wiring worked perfectly! Go figure.
