DMM Servos and DYN 4 drives have arrived

Post by lilb93 »

The DMM servos have arrived, was looking at Martys video he is doing a router. I see he is waiting for the wiring for the DYN4 drives, is the wiring on here not correct?
Got 1.5KW servos for a Bridgeport clone mill. Hope there strong enough.

1.5kw servos are more than enough.

I'm running the 750w servos at 2:1 and can get 330 ipm running them on 120vac.

EDIT: I linked to the DYN2 schematic originally.

There is an issue with the schematic. Not that it will damage anything, but DMM has recommended using an external 5volt supply instead of the internal supply. It causes noise issues, and I can confirm that is the case.

This schematic works: download/file.php?id=1567

Thanks Clay, will have to run and get an external 5V supply. Last evening 11 pm 64 degrees and raining. 8 am 9 degrees truck doors frozen shut.

Sounds like the same weather we had the night before. Where do you live?

750w @ 2:1, 330 ipm...sounds like you're building a log splitter!

Was that meant for me?

Try doing some rapids at 330 ipm on a Bridgeport series1. Seems like it's plenty fast to me.... But then again I'm a cnc newbie.
