Yup, I did the same thing on my 1st router back in the late 90's. 1/4" lead screws, 6mm fuel injection hose from the auto shop where I worked. Put the hose on as a temporary thing just to try it out. Never took it off & there's no telling how many hundreds of feet of balsa wing ribs, bulkheads & misc. other R/C airplane parts from ply, spruce & poplar I cut with it. All less than 1/4" thick & at very slow feed rates. To me it was THE most awesome thing ever. The stepper motors were 50 oz/in & the control was run in DOS on a 286 IBM PC AT. :shock:
