Genovation USB Keypad
I've had this keypad for a while now & decided to start the new year off getting it working. It's not an X-Keys but seems to do the same job a bit cheaper. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O1 ... UTF8&psc=1 I paid $72.95 but noticed they've recently gone up some. I struggled with some self-induced software issues for a while today but finally got it working well. The Centroid button labels on the website are for a mill so I had to print some lathe specific labels. I used TurboCAD & they came out OK.

Re: Genovation USB Keypad
I have had pretty good luck with the Genovation on other controls. Usually the hardest thing is to get the arrow keys to work right.

Let me add, that I was going to try this keypad on my lathe. I can set it up and post a profile, if needed

Re: Genovation USB Keypad
I had a lot of trouble with the arrow keys as well & was amazed at the wierd things that happened when they were pressed.
Thanks to Google I found a post on a router forum that mentioned the fix was simple as changing the 'Mode' from "Default (Auto Sense)" to "Separate Up Codes" & making sure the "This macro can auto-repeat" box is checked. Once I changed all 24 keys to that setting, everything smoothed right out. I haven't decided on the final key choices or their locations yet but feel pretty confident I can set things up just like I want. Oh yeah, the other thing I had difficulty with (although it's explained clearly in the .pdf manual) is that once the keys are programmed, you press 'Download' & those settings are loaded into the keyboard over USB. After that it's good to go when the Wiz has been setup for USB & CNC12 is running. I really like it so far but it's f-f-f-fuh-freezing out in the shop right now and further testing will have to wait. I can confirm that it does work & responds very quickly to tap-tap-tap on the arrow jog buttons. The big double key STOP! button I set up works quick too!
