Using Mach 3 Wizards in Acorn?
Anybody tried using a Mach3 or 4 G-code Wizard and use it in Acorn? It seems most of us moving from Mach 3 would have a nice advantage in G code building using Mach 3 or 4 Wizards if they work correctly in the Acorn world. Seems they should. That would at least give us a reason not to throw Mach 3 or 4 away. Just a thought.

Re: Using Mach 3 Wizards in Acorn?
I haven't tried it myself but the code a Mach wizard spits out would be close to what the Acorn wants. There are code differences between the two & who knows what horrible things will happen if you don't make the correct edits before running it?
Besides, one of the beautiful things about Acorn is that Intercon will do most of the things you'll need and spits out PERFECT code every time. Centroid has spent untold time & effort over many years making it work perfectly. I share your familiarity and comfort with Mach's wizards but you need to cut loose & spend the time learning Intercon. It was written by and supported by professionals. Frustration with inconsistent wizard results is one of the reasons I made the switch.

Most of Intercon's cycles (like facing, circular pockets and bosses, rectangular pockets and bosses, drilling etc.) Are available as "One Shots" and can be assigned to the aux keys.
Press an aux key, fill in the blanks (pictures included on-screen), press cycle start.

Re: Using Mach 3 Wizards in Acorn?
I will split off for sure. I hope Centroid has a way for splining shafts. I do a lot of splining and the Mach 3 wizard was quite handy for splines and gears even though the code needed to be tweaked a little at times. I'm really hoping for the best here. I did get pro if that makes a difference.
