Wireless ethernet
Hi, my laptop does not have an Ethernet port. Is it possible to connect with the Acorn using a USB to ethernet or a wireless card on a home network?

Re: Wireless ethernet
It may be possible to do, but my gut says this is a bad idea.
It really needs the security of a hard wired connection. It's also not a good idea to put this on a network.

Re: Wireless ethernet
Wireless will not work as the Acorn has no wireless controller built in. We have never tested it with a USB to Ethernet adapter. The two advantages you get with Ethernet is a really high bandwidth and noise immunity. You lose these when you move things over USB. So it may "work" but it is not something we would support since so many issues could crop up outside our control.
You can get a laptop that meets minimum specs and with touchscreen for $300-$400 these days.
