DMM servos on DYN4 drives. First motion!

I used this schematic.

I used the Acorn version first and it would not run right. I called DMM and they said there is too much noise transfer wiring it like the ACORN schematic. It has something to do with the 5vdc internal supply on the drive. I added a dual voltage supply and it works great.
Now onto the C Axis!

Clay, what you are saying is you ultimately wired it like this schematic?(This is DMM's schematic) Reason I ask is I am going to start laying out 3 DYN4 drives tomorrow and plan on wiring it this way.

Marty, Yes the schematic you showed me is also the schematic DMM sent me, and it works.
The original schematic in the Acorn "bundle" shows using the 5vdc internal power supply of the drive. That version did not work for me.

One caveat; I didn't connect the alarm yet.

Centroid is in the process of updating the DMM DYN2 and DYN4 schematics....
Good to hear you are getting closer....

DMM has informed us about using an external supplies for the DYN2/4 drive as well.
Noise was sited as well as the possible elimination of the on-drive logic power supply in future DYN2/4 units.
We will be updating the Acorn to DYN2/4 to use an external supplies soon. I'll post them here when they are done.

Steady as she goes. I do a little, then test, do a little...
I wish I had two weeks off work. I could finish this whole project. As it is I get about 4 hours on the weekends when I am not traveling.
