New here, how to hook up the dny4 to the new relay board. Drawing 500863 shows hooking to the acorn Oc5 , and what 2k resistor, can the acorn controller dive the spindle and be a c axis. Really won't to know how.

Theoretically DYN4 can be driven as a C axis and a spindle. I am currently working on that now. However, there is SPECIAL firmware for the DYN4 that needs to do this. Did you communicate your application and desire to DMM?Dale Powell wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 7:10 pm New here, how to hook up the dny4 to the new relay board. I've done a video on the relay board.

So has DMM finally got a means to use the Dyn4 to drive a spindle without the weird behavior I was seeing a while back? I emailed them many a time and never got a response. Finally gave up on using it for my spindle drive. It worked but just not right.

Theoretically yes. I'll be testing in the next several weeks

Re: DMM AC servo spindle and C axis. Parts ordered!
One more time, I need help, how do I hook up Dny4 to the acorn board when using as a spindle drive. Drawing # 500863 shows hooking straight to the acorn board at H5 oc5 , I have a relay board , so if I hook dir+ (pin 22) to the relay board that oc5 operates, there is there terminals nc,c,no ok do I put the wire form from the dyn4 pin 22 to no, and put 24volts on the middle terminal. I have 20 email with Dmm and they didn't answer me what I need to know. Is this correct, what wattage resistor of a 2K .

Thank you, I just down load yesterday and I asked if there was a new rev for the relay board, now I have the wiring, when I go to buy the 2k resistor the are asking for wattage.?

If you use the 5vdc power supply you can forgo the resistor.Dale Powell wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 9:19 pm Thank you, I just down load yesterday and I asked if there was a new rev for the relay board, now I have the wiring, when I go to buy the 2k resistor the are asking for wattage.?
