I hear yah! I truly believe that it'll be very useful when I get time to use it for a few jobs successfully. People keep bringing me little milling jobs that keep me away from the lathe, my favorite machine! I will definitely post successes (and failures) as they happen. :)

Awesome, thanks Keith...you are my hero! That’s huge motivation to get my lathe converted over to Acorn! I have all the parts here, just need to find the time to get it done.

Just a quick heads up for anyone running Franco's post:
I found an small issue with the post, but have yet to look at a post change solution. If an operation is programmed to use High Feedrate rather than Rapids, the output will post the high feed moves in IPM while still in G99 (IPR) without changing to G98 (IPM). I was wondering why my z axis was faulting when trying to move at F100 (quite quick in IPR lol).

Near term I will just not change to high feed mode, but in the future I will likely look into a post tweak to change to G99 and then back to G98 if this is selected.

Thanks for letting us know. Funny thing is I just tried his post today. Didn’t have much time so didn’t actual cut anything (just air) but it seemed to be working. Obviously I have not had the chance to notice anything odd.

The sudden jump of the axis (trying to move 100 IPR) threw me for a loop. I normally just let rapids have at it on the mill, but this is a new to me lathe, and am I new to using a lathe so I figured I'd be a little more conservative and limit it to 100 ipm...

Hey John,
I’m not sure Franco comes here often. I don’t spend as much time here like I used to either. I emailed him so perhaps he’ll stop by or make a change to his post.
