Diffrence between "Pro" and "Ultimate" software

Post by dhspring »

My question is : what is the difference between the : "pro" and the "ultimate" software ? I have a Chevalier- FCL-1840A with the Anilam 1200T system that is giving us fits and I was looking at the Allin1DC retro. Thanks!

You can see the differences between the different versions of the CNC12 software with the ACORN board here http://www.centroidcnc.com//centroid_di ... oller.html. As of right now, the CNC12 software is only for the ACORN board. It will be available with the ALLIN1DC in the near future.
When requesting support, please ALWAYS post a current report. Find out how to take a report from your Acorn, CNC11 or CNC10 system here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ecvg0VJp1oQ.

If your question is PLC, Macro or program related, please also post a copy of the program or macro as well.

Without the above information we may not be able to help and/or reply until the required information is posted..

The Pro and Ultimate are software levels for the Acorn board (the Acorn page has what is included with the levels). For the ALLIN1DC the included Centroid software is more or less close to "Pro" on the Acorn but they are not identical as the Acorn is a stepper control and the ALLIN1DC is a fully closed loop servo control, so the capabilities differ.

What kind of servomotors are on the Chevalier Lathe? The ALLIN1DC can handle up to about 40in-lb, 180VDC, 15amp servomotors. I don't see that machine as having an automatic tool turret, so no additional I/O boards or tool changer support would be needed.

Those should work great with the ALLIN1DC. Would just need encoders installed if none that are differential quadrature at least 1000 line count.
