Hi, I just installed acorn system to my mill and have two questions
1 - when i make a simple program on intercon, post and run, the origin is inverted in the graphics, in my program the origin is bottom left, my part is also touched off on the bottom left or towards me and to the left but when the job is running, the centroid graphics starts from the top right, can anybody explain why the graphics are inverted?
2 - I have a similar problem when i post from fusion360, in fusion my origin is placed bottom left, but for the orientation to work on my mill, i have to touch off on top right, why is that?
Tanks
why is my origin inverted? <resolved>

Re: why is my origin inverted?
Most likely your machine axis are setup incorrectly. On a mill, X+ is the SPINDLE moving towards the right. Y+ is the SPINDLE moving towards the column, and Z+ is the SPINDLE moving up.
The mistake people commonly make is even though the spindle doesn't actually move in X and Y, the axis are set up as if it does. Therefore X+ has the table moving to the left. Y+ has the table moving towards the operator.

Re: why is my origin inverted?
Hi, thanks for the reply, my axis are correct x+ goes to the right, y+ goes towards the machine and z+ upwards
I made an intercon program and milled out a part successfully but all the while it was going backwards on the centroid graphics....

Re: why is my origin inverted?
Almost certain that your axes are incorrect as Tom suggests above.
No matter, please post your xxx.icn Intercon file AND a current Report.zip here so we can help further - To generate report, from Main Menu press "Utility" F7 --> then press "Create Report" F7 and save to Desktop
Hope this helps

Re: why is my origin inverted?
I think I just understood my error, in your first reply, you said that ''X+ is the SPINDLE moving towards the right. Y+ is the SPINDLE moving towards the column'' well I have a milling machine which the table moves, not the spindle, so i guess for X+ the table should go the the right and Y+ the table should go towards me then right?

Re: why is my origin inverted?
On a typical knee mill or bed mill:
X+ moves the table to the left.
X- moves the table to the right.
Y+ moves the saddle toward the operator.
Y- moves the saddle toward the column.
X+ moves the table to the left.
X- moves the table to the right.
Y+ moves the saddle toward the operator.
Y- moves the saddle toward the column.
