I'm looking for a macro to do the following, might be out there already or I’m looking at process all wrong.
i have a small cnc mill that has a collet chuck so i want it to use my fixed position tool height sensor
this is my planed work flow. I could be going at it all wrong lol.
step 1 insert first tool for job measure the tool height.
step 2 set all the z elevations for work offset (G54-G58) with first tool.
step 3 start job
step 4 when tool changes comes up insert next tool, the machine will go to the fixed position and measure new tool and add the new tool height to the tool library for that tool. so it wont have to reset the z offset (G54-G58) of the multiple offset. once complete will continue job until next tool change until job is completed.
my mill has accrete home switches and I’ve set the tool heights to be measured off the home.
thanks for all the help

Easy way is Probe APP, otherwise the needed macro is in your keyboard

Re: Tool Hight measurement Macro
Do you have an auto tool change machine, or do you just need to measure each tool after a manual change? I have macro's for both.
