No heartbeat
I read all the posts went back out to the machine figured it had to do with the board for the clear path motors. I took it out turned it back on and got a heartbeat turn it back off put the board back in no heartbeat ? I did that several times no board heartbeat board no heartbeat. So I got the heartbeat back on and put the board in without turning it off heartbeat remained on. Turned it off turn it back on no heartbeat :( HELP

Sounds like the additional board shorts something on the Acorn....

As Uwe points out, either something is wired wrong on the Clearpath motor board, or the board is damaged and needs to be replaced. Check your wiring and if that is correct, contact the place where you purchased the motor board. You should also start your own thread for assistance instead of tagging on to the end of an older thread.

For future reference, it is very bad practice to disconnect and or connect electronic components when under power. It is very easy to short out and damage the devices. If the Centroid board has problems in the future, it will be very hard to prove that the damage wasn't caused by making connections while it was under power.
Cheers,

Tom
