Help with Fuling VFD < resolved>

Post by cbb1962 »

I am finally getting back to upgrading my Chinese 6090 router to an Acorn controller. I currently have a Fuling DZB280B002.2L2DK single phase VFD connected to an XHC MKIV Mach3 USB motion controller. Here is the Fuling Manual.

This is how the Mach controller and the VFD are connected; and my best guess for connecting it to the Acorn:
Fuling Connections.JPG
I don't know where the 10V (+10 V output current - 20 mAmax) from the Fuling should connect on the Acorn, if at all.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think the 10V you refer to is the FM terminal. It is for remote for speed or current display. This is not connected to ACORN since no analog inputs are available.

I'm still having trouble. I am using the 6 relay breakout board.
VFD Schematic.JPG
I connected the VFD as shown. I changed the VFD from PNP to NPN.

No movement.

I didn't connect the 10VDC line - Doesn't this show that it is needed?

Any Ideas?

I had changed it to NPN and switched it back and made the corresponding wiring change and it worked.

Has anyone connected the fault output from the Fuling VFD to the Acorn?

It really helps to download the CORRECT manual. After I got the right one it was all really straightforward. ;-)

Sorry I am late to the party on this one.
Glad you got it worked out!
Be sure to post pictures of your build!

What was the final fix for the Fuling VFD DZB280B002.2LDK / We are unable to speed control VFD from Acorn, reverse, and FWD

We connected using the diagram above
(Acorn) AN out- (VFD) VI / AN GND - ACM

Relays to VFD
Common Input- DCM
Fault Reset - SRST_DCM
Spin Reverse - REV_DCM
Spin Forward - FWD_DCM

were getting manual dial control on the VFD

Relays on the Acorn work.

Bench Tested Volt Acorn Board to VFD output works though not controlling VDF

Thanks

Kevin

I have a Fueling VFD on my chinese 6090 rebuild and it's the 280 series but for 3.7KW spindles, the VFD markings are different than what you both posted. I know this doesn't help but I am able to control my spindle and Fuling VFD completely with the Acorn.

We're not having any luck getting the VFD running using acorn- other than that the set up is going well
