Just thought i'd share my little rigged up pulley and belt using the "cheap" Omron Knockoff encoder and some RC car belts and pulleys. Its not a perfect encoder and pulley combination but so far, its getting the job done. I can rigid tap now on my 3 axis PM940 mill using this spindle encoder with the Acorn. I still need to chase away a few probable ground loops in my electronics and further tune the setup. I'll post a video sometime in the near future.

Cheers,

Jake

Is that belted at 1:1?
Maybe an optical illusion but doesn't seem that way from the picture s

Yup, it’s 1:1. Same pulley on both “ends”

What happened about this error? I'm getting the same issue but there was not update on this thread. So not having much joy with RT.

I have the full digitizing option.

Just wanted to inform you that the Rigid Tapping feature was accidentally overlooked in the Digitizing Bundle package and will be resolved with the next software release which is coming out shortly. Thanks and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
