Minimill Running Acorn Control Board and Software

Post by AMHKnives »

Ive had the pleasure of beta testing the new acorn control board and software for my hybrid mini mill conversion running Teknnics servos, linear rails, renishaw probe and tool setter, and 3hp water cooled spindle. I had previously tried to use a control board from cnc4pc and from csmio/ip-s board and was unable to run the servos and tool setter with those board and mach 3 software. Once i received the control board and software i had the mill up and running in 1 day of wiring and have been running strong sense. I have uploaded a few youtube videos showing the control board and software and also some setup videos on csr, probe setup, rpi and backlash setup using the acorn board and software..

By far this control board and software is light years ahead of anything out there and is a much more robust and easy to setup and use software than mach3 or mach4.
Thanks
Alan
