Outstanding. Acorn running a VMC. Can you summarize the build, drives/motors, VFD/Spindle Motor
Reminder, for support please follow this post: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=383

Re: Bridgeport Interact 412
Ok here is the info on the build. The spindle motor is the original 5.5 KW Fanuc. The spindle is ran with 220 single phase with a Delta C2000 VFD with a PG01L Encoder Feedback Card for the spindle orientation. The Servos and Drives are Bergerda Automation Technology. The Z axis is a 1.5 KW and the X And Y are 1.0 KW 220 volt AC. This is set up with Acorn and a ether 1616 I/O expansion kit.

Re: Bridgeport Interact 412
Are you using the preprogrammed spindle on(green) off(red) buttons on the default VCP.
And are you using them to turn one OUTPUT on and off that controls a contractor or similar?
I know this is pretty basic but no o seems to be able to set back to this level of simplicity and show me how to do it.
Thanks in advance

Re: Bridgeport Interact 412
Yes I am using the on off buttons for manual spindle control. The way I have it set up it is coming from the 0-10 volt terminals on the acorn board to the 0-10 volt terminals on the VFD.

Re: Bridgeport Interact 412
The only essential changes from the factory PLC program were:
1) Provide a spindle-run signal to accompany the spindle-orient signal (required by the Delta C2000 drive)
2) Manage carousel advance/retract with a single-coil spring-return solenoid, instead of the usual two-coil detented solenoid
