Upgrading CNC11 Software

Post by polaraligned »

I currently am running version 632. The latest version on the website here is 734.
So is there an easy path to upgrade without having to redo all the settings, parameters, etc? In other words, if I run the setup for the new version does it transfer all the settings/parameters over to the new version?

As long as you don't install a PLC program you will not overwrite your old settings. I suggest making a report beforehand either way, Press F7 Utilities, than F7 Report. Selected where you want to save the report. After you are done installing the updated software and are happy with your configuration, make another report and put it in a safe place. If something happens to your computer down the road you can just install the software on another PC, load the report, and be back up an running right away.
