Cannot find editable plc file
Hi, I have a bed mill that has a linux system running cnc11-10 cpu10 v 2.73, quaddrv drive and a 15/15 plc. Id like to modify the plc program and found a compiled plc program with a source file listed but cannot find the src file. Can I install a new plc file and if so where can I find one?
Re: Cannot find editable plc file
What was the name of the .src file, as listed in the cnc10.plc file?
Were there any .src files at all in your /cncroot/c/cnc10 directory?
Is there a pc.plc file in your /cncroot/c/cnc10 directory?
What is the serial number or system key for your control?

Re: Cannot find editable plc file
The .src file in the cnc10.plc file is c:\PLC\MAGNN.src
There is one .src file in /cncroot/c/cnc10 dir. it is void.src
There is no pc.plc file in the dir.
System key is A1108122663
Thanks for any help you can provide

Re: Cannot find editable plc file
I would guess that a PLC program named "MAGNN.SRC" was intended for a Magnum/Phoenix router, and would not have the features you would need on a bed mill (e.g. auto lube, flood coolant, mist coolant). But that is just a guess.
You would probably be best served to find a "standard" PLC program for your hardware combination. However, you may need to edit the I/O assignments in any event, because there was little standardization for the 15/15 PLC, especially on the output side.
The type of jog panel you are using matters too. Your hardware combination might have started life with an M40-style panel; an early M39-style pendant; or a "Uniconsole-2" M39-style pendant. See http://www.cncsnw.com/FieldGuide.htm for some examples.
Let us know what type of jog panel you have; and if possible what devices you have wired to which outputs on the PLC. That will narrow the choices down to a couple likely programs.

Re: Cannot find editable plc file
It has an m-40 style panel. Currently there is nothing hooked to the output side but I would like to run the spindle and coolant functions. Thanks again
Re: Cannot find editable plc file
Try using this one.
You may need to rearrange the input assignments: some early 15/15 systems had the E-stop and servo fault inputs inserted at INP3 and INP4, instead of having the limit switches contiguous and having E-stop on INP11 and servo fault on INP12 (as this file assumes).
The Ajax bulletin board system does not allow attachments with a ".src" extension, so you will want to rename .txt to .src after you save it.
