Regarding the pinched wire: this is why I recommend either sliding the jacket up, or using heat shrink, so that the individual conductors are contained and protected all the way through the "bottleneck" between the screw posts which join the shell halves together.

Certainly a good idea CNCSNW. This was not an in house build rather a complete system purchase. Worked mostly trouble free for 8 yrs. Just one of those head scratchers.

I am now doing general part machining rather than just head porting on the machine and may be upgrading / updating a few things in the future.
