Fanuc Robot circa 1994

Post by Jmgilday »

This is more a teaching project than an industrial retrofit, but one of our instructors recommended you.

We have a Fanuc 6 axis robot with 3 A06B-0512-B141 servos and 3 smaller motors for the wrist.

While we have the original controller (RH1?) and pendant we really would like to show how these motors and this frame can be repurposed in 2016 with smaller, more reactive and tighter controls.

Thoughts??

The A06B-0512 are the 'Early Series" size 5 Red Cap Fanuc motors, do you know what the model for the smaller motors is? Most likely it would end up being an Oak/ACDC setup with encoder upgrades on the servomotors.
