Centroid & tool height offsets PPR- study time.

Post by countryguy »

While pretty new to all this- I am pulling my hair out with DolphinCam 13.5, a multi-tool part, and Centroid tool height offsets.

After 4 hours today literally pulling my hair out- I took to the tool height offsets out- And the Tool heights were fine. So I figured the post processor was doing something wrong w/ the tool heights.

Nope- But I did start to use this new post processor called: "m_Centroid_14May2013.ppr". Once selected and my program regenerated- I reset the part offset. And crashed tool 2 down in a plunge. . (but now I set the RPM to 50 and feed rate to nill... No harm! ) observation runs only.

time to read this: http://www.cncsnw.com/OLEM.htm

Study study study. I'm doing something wrong obviously.
Jeff.

Yeah- So I ran the next part w/ this PPR and two tools. tool 1 ran fine. Tool 2 then crashed? I'm super confused. I'll post back after I figure this out on some scrap rather than a mounted part.

What sucks- This ran FINE on the first part w/ 4 tools and a knee move. I'm baffled!
