Can I Add, and how: a functional geometry wear table option?

Post by schric11 »

Hello,

Is it possible to add wear tables, in CNC 11, on the tool geometry offset library page?

like if I had a reground e mill and the touch probe figured the Diameter to be .234 and I wanted to do a test cut saying away .010. I could put the .01 in a wear table.
thanks

Why not create a second tool adding the additional test diameter to the tool definition?

Mike,

That's a great suggestion - and the one we usually suggest.

FWIW CNC11 Lathe software does have a "tool wear" offset table. I'll see what we can do about getting into the CNC11 Mill software.
