We are thinking about doing a retrofit of a 2-axis lathe with one of your Oak boards. Can you give us an idea of when the touch screen operator's control panel will be released in CNC11?

Will the pricing for software options remain like cnc11 or will they change to the Acorn/cnc12 pricing?

Speaking of pricing, I still can't fathom why C Axis on a lathe is 2000$ and 5 Axis simultaneous on a Mill is only 1250$. Essentially C Axis is the same as Rotary table on the Mill which is free? the only real difference is the C Axis DRO is hidden in software when C Axis is not active from what I can tell and custom MCodes/PLC for enabling and disabling which is up to the end user/installer. I'm in the middle of building a C Axis lathe with Delta ASDA-A2 Drives and Currently using the Acorn to test run the machine until I'm happy with everything. I plan on purchasing an OAK when everything is ready but it's hard to justify going to an Oak when the C Axis software costs more than the Oak Hardware. Maybe someone can chime in on what I'm missing.

In my experience, all recent Centroid software works on Windows 7. It is simply not cost effective for Centroid to spend the testing time to guarantee that anything works with an end of life OS. Support is also increasingly difficult if users don't get "on board" with modern PCs and software. I doubt Centroid will officially claim compatibility with Windows 7 for new product releases.

Windows 7 mainstream support and sales ended a few years ago:
