I am looking at a purchase of older machine. Want to investigate how much it would take to retrofit. I could only get to the Z servo. Was not able to get into the cabinet as another machine was pushed up against it. So not sure I am providing all the info that is needed but here it is anyway.

Mitshubishi M-v5b 1994
Servo HA100NBS-A33
100 NCB-S
2kw 2000 rpm
Encoder ABS 25000 p/rev

Do you know what kind of drives are on it? If they drives accept velocity (-10 to +10v) or position control we could interface with them with our Oak. We would also need a differential quadrature signal, simulated from the drives is fine (as the servo has absolute). If they drives are not compatible its still possible we could run that servomotor with our ACDC drives. But it would need new encoders installed and for us to get one of them in here to figure out the PID settings.

Alternatively a 2kW Estun AC Motor/Drive Combo is about $1300. Sell the old stuff on eBay to get most of the cost back and start fresh with all new stuff.

Sorry for the delay. I finally was able to get the the control panel and get it open.

The servo driver model is: MSD-A-SVJ-10

I have yet to determine what the drives accept for control. {D-A} 1 channel, 7bit, 0-10volt

https://s3.amazonaws.com/Icarus/DOCUMEN ... 5F3277.pdf

I found this on MSD-B-SVJ External analog output
-/+ 10V, 2ch
I need to go recheck but odd that the dash 10 is for 1kw servo. My z axis is 2kw.

Maximum input pulse frequency (Position control mode): 500 kpps- when using differential receiver, 200 kpps- when using open collector.

I just picked up a machine with similar drives. I was just wondering if you were able to use them with an oak?

Please take pictures of the MOTOR lables AND the Drives and their labels and post them here.
Centroid can't guess at what you have...
