Parameters 300-307 drive types on Oak

I'm not sure what to set the drive types in parameters 300-307 for my 3rd party drives connected to my Oak board. I have two ABB Microflex drives running in velocity control mode using the +-10V analog request signal connected to axis 1 & 2.

The oak install manual shows setting 300=1, 301=2. Is that correct even these drives are not any of DC3IOB, DC1, ACSINGLE, OPTIC4, or OPTICDIRECT?

Also when tuning the drives, I need to run the drives built-in tuning first and then run the Oak's axis tuning?

Thanks,

Tom

Parameters 300-307 are not a drive type selection. They are a drive interface mapping. They tell the control which drive interface to look on for each logical axis.

Assuming you are using the Oak without any additional DriveBus devices (e.g. OpticDirect boards plugged into the "Drive Communication Out" header), then the four axis interface headers on the Oak board are drives #1, #2, #3 and #4. Those are the values you would use in Parameters 300-303, regardless of what make or model servo drives you are using.

Similarly, the encoder inputs on those four headers are encoder inputs #1, #2, #3 and #4. Those are the values you would leave in Parameters 308-311.

Thanks, CNCSNW. I have it configured like you and the OAK install manual suggest. The CNC11 T series operators manual in the parameter section suggest that the parameter group is for the selection of the drive type and mentions specific drives. That was the source of my confusion.
