OAK Enable Axis

Post by tblough »

I'm trying to commission my drives on my lathe conversion and before I broke out the jumper wires to turn on the drive enable, I was wondering if there was an output bit or memory location I can force from the I/O panel in CNC11v3.16 to turn on the drive enable for Axis 1 and Axis 2?

Thanks,

Tom

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Unfortunately, the PLC program doesn't control those outputs so there is no way to force them. They are handled by the CNC11 software. You should just be able to press F3(MDI). That will energize all of your axes. If you don't have things wired in such as axis encoders or fault signal or etc. which will put the Centroid control in a fault state, you should be able to disable stall detection. From the main screen press F1(Setup)->F3(Config)->default value is 137->F4(PID). Press CTRL+V. You should see a message telling you that stall detection has been disabled underneath the message window. Then you can press F3(MDI).
When requesting support, please ALWAYS post a current report. Find out how to take a report from your Acorn, CNC11 or CNC10 system here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ecvg0VJp1oQ.

If your question is PLC, Macro or program related, please also post a copy of the program or macro as well.

Without the above information we may not be able to help and/or reply until the required information is posted..
