CNC 11 is supported under Windows 7, 8, and 10.
CNC 12 is only supported under Windows 10.
If you are building a new PC, it is highly recommended to use Windows 10 so it is future proof.

Like Liviu mentioned, if you plan on upgrading the software, go with Windows 10.
CNC12 isn't supported on any versions prior.

Probably like me, you hate to move up to 10 from rock solid very familiar 7. But I had to push myself in that direction.....
I remember doing the same thing from XP to 7 :?

It runs on both 32 bit or 64 bit. If you are building or buying a new PC I would highly recommend going with the 64 bit version (pretty much the universal standard now) for future update capabilities. The 32 bit version can only address 4gb of RAM which is the current minimum requirement.

What about Win 10 Home or Win 10 Pro ?

Either should work.

One note on Win10 Home. You have no Windows Update options. You must accept them. With Pro you have some flexibility. It is also much harder to totally get rid of the Firewall and Update nag notifications. Other than that.....
