Re: Closed Loop Stepper Encoder Wiring

For the record my question was about cabling vs wires from connector to the driver for both the encoder and power. The existing ones (power) are temporary , I've already removed the encoder wires. I've seen lots of these done as I have the power wires here but that does not mean its the best way. S...

Re: Closed Loop Stepper Encoder Wiring

Greglwood, Do you have an Acorn or just doing some researching? I have an acorn, eth1616, and wireless MPG. Everything is/was working just fine, but I desire to clean up the cabling. I know people on here have already said don't use a connector and go directly to drivers but in my mind that is just...

Re: Denford Mirac 8 position tool changer wiring

Hi Tom I sent you a PM on this. Your turret is a Denford DM-08 rather than a Baruffaldi and should be manageable within the current ATC/turret wizard. I am currently sorting a Mirac PC with the same turret. I noted his manual had 12 positions and wondered about that. If you have a manual for the De...

Re: Axis is affected by VFD

Inexpensive Chinese VFD's can be problematic.
VFD cable sized and connected appropriately between the VFD and the motor is suggested.
automationdirect.com sells such cable. You need to know your motor current draw.

Re: Unable to setup homing

Create your HOME file, then go in and edit the .hom file and comment out the line with the A axis. Then tell the wizard NOT to overwrite the Home file in the future. Hello Marty, I followed cnckeith suggestion on editing the cncm.hom file (use Notepad ++) comment out the M code that seek the home s...
