Re: Z axis and lathe ATC problem, mystery
Not that I have any help on your issue. I am in the process of a build and come across things that make me question. In other builds using Mach 3 I had issues with noise occasionally and they were hard to trace if I ever solved them. On your Din rail in image 5, there is a yel/grn block. This type o...

Re: 2017 Acorn Rev 2?
So I ordered the link Keith provided. This leads me back to the same question. Since the board is the same I would like to use the cable, wiring and adapter linked to 1 of the relays already mounted. Leaving only 1 relay board connected to the E1616, is there an issue with running just one relay boa...

Re: 2017 Acorn Rev 2?
At the time of purchase the rev 2 didnt include the relay boards. The E1616 had 2. I am trying to move forward with what I already have. If I wait to get an additional relay board, will I use any part of the 2nd board on the E1616?

Re: 2017 Acorn Rev 2?
Marty my intent has been to leave my backpanel the way it is now. I dont want to add un needed components. My understanding is that an Acorn and an Ethernet 1616 give me a total of 24 outputs with the hardware I have at the moment. During my calculations I only need 14 input lines total and 10 outpu...

Re: 2017 Acorn Rev 2?
Ok I now know the rev 2 info is way down the list, got it. Now reading all of the variants I see some of the reasons I was confused. On Rev 2, on very few schematics is a separate relay shown, most connections to the VFD for example are direct to the Acorn. https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersupport/...

Re: Boxford 250Pc lathe ATC problem
It needs a lot more than that. The posted macro was not for a Centroid control. It is, at most, a general guideline to how one solution was implemented. You will need to develop your own macro, using Centroid's Fanuc-style CNC macro syntax, that performs the same core task. This was the macro from ...

Re: 2017 Acorn Rev 2?
Thank you both! CncMaryland, though I see the links now, I had read thru that list many times and rarely see documentation on rev 2. Weird. I think the relay tolerance to latch the contactor will get me thru. Just put Rev2 in the search and you will find them all. i was sure I had. I have set this ...

2017 Acorn Rev 2?
I am trying to repurpose an Acorn that was on a G0704 and worked well. Moving it to a similar sized machine except containing servos and an umbrella tool changer (UMC10). In 2017 the Acorn did not come with a relay board as they do now. After I did my layout of the Acorn and Ethernet 1616 on my back...
