Re: Resetting to 0 after each line of code
By changing a G99 to a G98, the files now run identically. Previously the file with a G99 was resetting work and machine coordinates as the G code was executed. After a cut path, instead of a rapid return for the next cut path, home was reset to the end of the first cut path and a new cut path would...

Re: Resetting to 0 after each line of code
Thanks for the quick reply. The motors are Keling KL34H2160-62-8A wired bipolar at 4.4 amps at 61 VDC. The drives are Pacific Scientific 6410's at 1/16 microsteps. The couplings are solid. Just in case, I halved my maximum job rates. It is definitely not loosing steps. It is resetting my Z zero work...

Resetting to 0 after each line of code
Greetings, I finished installing an Acorn board into a DynaMyte 3300 slant bed lathe retrofitted with stepper motors. To test my work, I was going to create 3 replacement registration popup pins for one of our CNC routers. I created two seperate turning files with Intercon. One to turn down a .875&q...

Re: MDI doesn't execute
That was easy.
G98. I had no idea. I've been an XYZ guy for 15 years.
ZX is a whole new world.
Thanks for your help.
Best Regards

MDI doesn't execute (lathe G98! its not a mill :-)
Greetings, I'm setting up my fourth Centroid machine. My first Acorn. It is a DynaMyte/Mitsubishi 3300 slant bed lathe. I'm using lathe software V4.18. Two Pacific Scientific 6410 drives power KL34H2160-62-8A hybrid stepping motors. The machine homes, jogs, spins, and executes conversational files. ...

Homing Failure
Greetings, We are putting the finishing touches on an All-in-one installation using CNC11. It is going well but I can only home the Y axis. It trips the home switch and back off as it should. But with the X and Z, I get the following sequence. 302 Moving... 327 Fault: job cancelled 411 X axis (1) fu...

Run away encoder count on a paired axis
Our GPIO4/MPU11 has been working great since July. We are now having a problem with Axis 4 which is paired with Axis 1 to move a gantry in the X axis. Movement stops as soon as a motion command is given. On startup homing, in the PID Menu, in the ABS/POS column, axis 1's count correlates to no movem...

GPIO4 fails to start my spindle.
I am struggling to connect a TB Woods WFC inverter to a Centroid MPU11 / GPIO4. All other systems are functioning. This is my last huddle to making chips. I've installed a half dozen Woods inverters over the last decade on various CNC spindles. Most recently a TB Woods X2C to a Centroid All-in-One s...

PLC code for GPIO4D enable to AMC inhibit with CNC11
This post on the bulletin board: **RESOLVED** Connecting GPIO4D To An AMC30A8 DC BrushDrive by ajaxscott » Mon Mar 29, 2010 4:23 pm includes a wiring diagram for enabling an AMC amp thru the GPIO4D. The other posts related to it suggest that the PLC code needed to make this work was for a Mach3 &quo...
