Re: Macro for Z axis part zero and TT1

Variable #150 had us scratching our heads. I worked on this with my son Oliver. He has a graduate degree in electrical engineering and writes code for a living. I couldn't have done it without his help. #150 was clearly the code that our tool change M6 used to identify the current loaded tool. Yet t...

Re: Macro for Z axis part zero and TT1

Thank you Gary Campbell, CNCSW, and ShawnM for your thoughts. We were able resolve the issue by add a few lines of code at the end of Scott Pratt's "mfunc6JogToToolTouchOff-tt1.mac." Now, after qualifying all the tools offsets and after qualifying the surface with this macro, all tools in ...

Macro for Z axis part zero and TT1

Greetings, I'm finishing my upgrade of a Multicam MG510 router with an Acorn controller. It has an eight position tool changer, a fixed TT1 touch off, and a non-fixed TT1 surface block. The tool changer is working. The fixed TT1 works. The movable surface block works. My problem is with my macro for...

Re: M3 stops working after an M6 command

Thank you CNCSNW.

You were spot on. Thank you for clearing up my confusion about these different outputs.

Have a great weekend.

Best Regards

M3 stops working after an M6 command (RESOLVED)

I'm almost there. I've cut several parts on the table. My VCP is tricked out. MPG has macros. Tool touch off works. Surface touch off works. Even the wine rack tool changer is working flawlessly. Almost. When I give it an MDI command, T1M6 for example, it implements a tool change as expected except,...

Homing sequence changed

This machine functioned normally. It had a Acorn Wizard generated homing sequence. Homing executed correctly through numerous shut down / start up cycles. All home switches are wired in series and are normally closed. HomeAll is selected for input 2. Yesterday, the homing routine changed for no appa...

Re: Encoder Alignment on AC Brushless Motors, TB166

That’s good to know about the ACORNs. The reason I suspected a problem is because I’d changed the encoder on my Y axis. When I home after start up, it jumps and produces IMG_7720 (1).jpeg an error on the servo drive. After clearing the error, it runs fine. The motors are Allen Bradley N3412 AC servo...

Encoder Alignment on AC Brushless Motors, TB166

I have to replace encoders on two AC servos. I'd done it six years ago using TB166. Now I'm running CNC12 V4.5 with and Acorn control and CNC12 v4.14 with an OAK control. Neither system has the Move Sync F2 command in the PID Config/Drive menu. Is there another technical bulletin or protocol for for...

Re: Encoder resolution and jumpy XY motion on routers

Regarding our SCM/Oak pod and rail router, at the suggestion of CNCSNW, I increased the Deadstart from 3 to 5 and the DeltaVmax 3 to 5. It made all the difference. The machine now glides thru an arc at 600 ipm with no stutter or vibration. This problem on the SCM/Oak is resolved and I will not longe...

Re: Encoder resolution and jumpy XY motion on routers

This report is for the Multicam Pro router which has an Acorn. Please accept my apology. I still don't know how I got these mixed up again. Thank you for your patience. This machine has four AC servo motors that are Allen Bradley/Electro-Craft N-3412-2-H00AA. These are powered by four Allen Bradley/...
