Re: What size motor for x and z? lathe

http://www.autochart.com/CENTROID%20ACORN/Projects.jpg I'll be starting testing of the Techno Isel Router this evening. I have all of the parts for the DM-3000 except the ClearPath servo mounting plates that I'll have to have made and I haven't bought the drive belt pulleys yet. I hope to start on ...

Re: Lab volt 5600 mill and 5500 lathe

Looks like a conversion to Acorn would be fairly simple. I'm guessing that what they call "Chopper Drive" is a step/direction stepper driver. The KLBC-240DS motor driver can be interfaced to the Acorn by adding a SI-5 Signal Isolator https://www.kb-controls.co/searchquick-submit.sc?keyword...

Re: OMRON E6B2-CWZ1X Encoder Unboxining and Overview

Will do Marty. Having to make new ClearPath servo mounts for both the X & Z axis and this X Axis layout will only have a 4:1 (ClearPath : Lead Screw) ratio. I'd like to have a 10:1 ratio but you'd have to modify the existing lead screw mount and I don't want to do that. I do think the 4:1 ratio ...

I plan on using one on my DM-3000 Lathe conversion that I hope to start early next year.

I just tried to find the video you refered to but cannot find it. Would you post a link to the video?

Acorn Wizard Data Excel Spreadsheet

Working with Keith and Marty we have modified the spreadsheet that was found on the MACH forum so it would give you the info you need to enter into the Wizard's Axis Configuration page. I hope you find this helpful when setting up your Acorn. Orin NOTE Working together, Marty and I have gotten the s...

Re: Touch Probe Signal Debounce

Hi Keith,

Thanks for the very quick answer regarding this. Can the ACORN perform the same probing as shown in this video?

I suspect that if the answer is "yes" then I'd have to get Centroid Ultimate CNC software.
