Re: Appendix A & B of ALLIN1DC Installation Manual
I probably evoked a negative response like that by using the word 'trivial'. I did not mean it is not useful -- only that it's useful only once when setting up the machine. Then, after that, it's just a vestigial appendage that clutters things up. My use of the word just meant, "of limited usef...

Re: Appendix A & B of ALLIN1DC Installation Manual
I doubt that auto tune would disable the menu, but no mater how unlikely that is, it is possible. ------- Really? It's an installation-only function. It NEVER changes on a given machine. It protects the machine and the work when right, and WILL cause damage to one or the other if wrong. It should be...

Re: Appendix A & B of ALLIN1DC Installation Manual
Then I made changes to revs/inch. Doubling the values for x and y axis. Now i get a stall error on both X and Y axis. I figured no problem, just run auto tune again with new settings. But lo and behold - NO auto tune menu option. ---------- I cannot find it right after a quick look, but I'm betting ...

Re: Computing motor revs/inch:
Finally I realized the instructions answer is wrong!?? (I think) 6.0000/6.0036 is not = .99400 It seems to be .9994 Is that a large error? And am I wrong. --------- You're correct, and that's a HUGE error... something a bit more than 0.5% It's just a typo. I've learned to NEVER trust a printed docum...

Re: Appendix A & B of ALLIN1DC Installation Manual
There is a mystical "technician's troubleshooting and software disc" that I've heard of that has schematics, program listings, flow diagrams, troubleshooting step charts.... the whole works!!! But I haven't yet seen one.
Liviu could send us each one, couldn't you, Liviu?

Well, I don't wish to offend, but do you have the ethernet connection enabled? The system won't find it unless it is.

Re: All-in-1 communication problem
The primary Ethernet 100-base-T connector on the computer (and thus at least that one 'wired' network connection) is used exclusively to communicate to the AIODC board. It cannot be a shared connection, as far as I know. Thus, if the AIODC is not connected and powered up, that network connection won...

Re: Communication Fault error
Are you running a DC1 axis driver with a 4th (or more) axis? I think that's associated with the 'expansion' drives-to-DC11 communications (DC1 driver board, which has both electrical and fiber i/os). As far as I know, the All-in-one-DC board doesn't have any external FO i/o connections. But since it...
