Re: New member introduction
And why isn't Newfanged Solutions bankrupt? Gee, I hope that was meant to be tongue in cheek. :o It's in bad taste to wish a fellow DIY CNC company ill will. Those guys have helped a huge crowd of hobbyists (and pros) down the road to productive CNC work! As a matter of fact, I'm making some parts ...

Re: Simple Z probe part macro for lathe?
Thanks Dana; that's exactly what I needed! My Aux 10 button is wide-open & ready for duty.
The wife is home now & doing well, thanks. I'll know if she's really back to normal when I head out to the shop after supper to try out the macro.

Simple Z probe part macro for Lathe
I have my conductive tool touch probe working well now and want to move on to the Z part probe function. It is a home-made NO opto based plunger that loads onto the QCTP for setting the part Z-zero. I saw several different Z setting macros for routers (which i suppose would work) but so far I haven'...

Re: contactor and spindle board questions
question #2 - spindle control... I have 2 options it seems. a CNC4PC C6 board that will use 12v to power the board and a KBSI240D which runs with 110v power supply. I will be controlling the spindle speed aswell as direction. The KBSI is about 3 times the cost. Can you guys suggest which way to go ...

Re: KBCC-R speed controller
Scot, It's been a while since I tweaked mine but if memory serves, the trim pots on the both the KBCC & the KBSI have an effect on the speed. The KBCC on my lathe was NIB so I left it alone & made all adjustments on the KBSI. The used one on the mill had been heavily tweaked with blobs of ho...
