Nesting parts
I don't have a big commercial CNC business, I have a nice shop and a nice machine. I don't have a lot of "production" work but every once in a while I get a job that I need to nest parts to be more efficient. One drawback of Fusion360 is that it doesn't do nesting of parts. I have found a ...

Re: Rack ATC Macro Help
Allin1Chris, Thanks for the reply. I have modified and compiled the PLC changes and I have a finger version of your M6 working! :mrgreen: I was wondering if you had looked at the error checking that hebs has in his macro? The ability to manage the bin locations and keep them in sync with the real wo...

Re: Fusion 360 Mill Post Processor for Acorn with additional Features
Swissi, A quote from Post Processors, a guide to Centroid CNC12 G&M codes There are two features that can be helpful on ATC machines, even though neither is required: A user-selectable M code (usually M17) can be inserted at the end of the last cut before a tool change, after the tool is clear o...

Re: Rack ATC Macro Help
hebs, I was wondering if it makes sense to move your error checking to another macro and call that macro from the M6?

Re: Rack ATC Macro Help
Allin1Chris, I'm confused about the M18 Macro: ;------- ;M18 macro ;Initilization of ATC, Sets current tool in spindle to 1. ;------- IF #50001 IF #4202 || #4201 THEN GOTO 200 G10 P700 R1 N200 If I understand this correctly this line G10 P700 R1 will Set parameter 700 to a value of 1. Why Parameter ...

Re: TCPC
from the CNC 12 V4.14 Manual Page 218 12.17 G43.4 - Rotary Tool Center Point (with G43.3 Compensation) When G43.4 is active then any feed move (G1) will be made such that the tip of the tool moves in a straight line (this typically causes the Z-axis to move up and down during the move). G43.3 Compen...

Re: ATC macro help
G28 ; Move to tool change height G28 is the Tool Change Position. X, Y, and Z not just move to the tool change height. I commented out G28 and replaced each instance with: G53 Z0 That will stop it from going to the front of the machine each time. When I was getting my M6 macro working I would go to...

Re: Rack ATC Macro Help
With this it should be possible to fully list out the bins for each tool without needing to change them all the time. For example if you have 8 tools bins but 16 tools, u can assign 1-8 as bins 1-8, and then tools 9-16 as bins 1-8 as well, i had no issues in my testing. Chris, I initially thought t...
