Re: Acorn Threading Problem
Please provide the exact part number of the encoder. Good its holding speed precisely. Good its belted with a toothed belt at 1:1. Good you used Intercon to generate the Gcode. Now I am suspecting the encoder. There are different variants of the 755A. Need the entire part number to be able to decod...

Re: Acorn Threading Problem
When you call M3S640, does the spindle run at 640RPM? Did you calibrate the VFD? What did you use to generate the code for the thread? Did you use Intercon? If not, you should run your first thread with intercon. Marty I calibrated the speed with adjustable original mechanical speed changer of the ...

Re: Acorn Threading Problem
VFD calibrating procedure: http://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=1650 That Spindle encoder does not look like it is belted at 1:1 to the spindle with a timing pulley? I can't fully tell from the picture. The pulleys look different in diameter and I don't seem to see teeth on the belt...

Re: Acorn Threading Problem
Hi folks, We put Acorn on Omniturn gang tool slide mounted on Harding HC chucker. The threading doesn't work correctly--the first and last 3, or so threads have finer pitch than the middle ones. Please refer to the picture--the middle part is correct 32 thread per inch, but the ends are not. Here t...

Durapulse VFD and ATC
We have here All in One DC on a mill and Durapulse GS3 VFD and will also install an encoder on the spindle. We would like to add to the mill ATC. How the spindle positioning would work?
Thanks, Mark

Mori Seiki BB spindle motor with Centroid
Hey folks, Would like to retrofit our Mori Seiki BB lathe (similar to SL1) with Centroid. It had a DC spindle motor, so we purchased an AC one Yaskawa EEA-IKM (the one used in SL1). Upon arrival it turns it has a few sets of wiring--two sets of thicker 3 wires, and also it has a multi Pole Resolver ...

Feed Hold not responding
Today we were running job on a mill (Centroid, All in one DC) and feed hold (we don't have a pendant, so use space bar on keyboard) would not respond. Right above the task window we could see FEED HOLD highlighted with red. The job was running fine, though. Is it a known issue? Is there any other wa...

MPG is not working in MDI
Hi folks,
We have Centroid with Allin1DC on a mill. The MPG is not working in MDI, but it works fine if we get out of MDI. We use keyboard jogging. The manual says ALT W should engage MPG, but it's not the case. Anything we are missing?
Thanks, M

Centroid and DC spindle motor drive
We are looking to retrofit our Mori Seiki BB lathe with Allin1DC and Centroid. The machine has a GBDR K type 3.7kW DC spindle motor (seems like with a field coil). Could anyone suggest a good controller, or would it be easier to chance the motor for AC and use VFD?
Thanks, M
