remove the resolver/tach down to bare shaft, measure shaft, purchase encoder with same diameter hole, drill tap two mounting holes, mount new encoder, connect connector to cable. done. here is link to photo album showing a different more complicated encoder install.. i think you will get the idea. h...

First you want to isolate the lash. where is it coming from exactly? nut to screw? screw to table? nut mount to table? etc... once you have found where the lash is actually coming from only then would you adjust the nut tension on the end of the ballscrew. for your questions.. a great resource is th...

you can change the plc program to allow the mpg to be active in MDI mode. typically this is not a good idea..but as long as you know thats the way your machine is configured...

with some creativity you mount a new motor in the upright position..i've seen it done on a few boss machines, this will allow you to use a new modern motor.

basically you just want to stop the crank handle pin which is rotated by the air motor from moving. so any way you come up with do achieve that goal will be fine.

hello. sounds like he is a little mixed up.. he may have meant that the unlocks will be provided by centroid when you purchase an option (like "Probing')

mike, once a tool is setup in the tool library there is no need to remeasure that tool until it breaks or you move its position in the tool holder. in the case of the knee mill, if you move the knee position all the tool lengths are still the same, so all you have to do it reset Z zero (a wcs) with ...
