Any news on rev7 Keith?

Is it not possible to use the encoders on the servos/hybrids to do the same job as using scales?

Is anyone else using this model for auto tool setting on the lathe? What are the general opinion of it please?

Do you have to have acorn six to use scales?

I'm looking at the JMC's which do a nema 34, they have built on driver, just not sure if they are powerful enough?

Good question, I'm not sure how to match the correct power etc when changing from stepper to servo. I'm currently using 8Nm nema 34 steppers and am still trying to decide on the correct wattage of servo. Just looking online and can't find a source to compare the 2 as far as power goes. I think it should refrain from cancelling tool offsets across the board, there seems to be no need for it whatsoever ? Like Uwe says it means you have to remember to manually MDI back to the correct tool offset, if you forget CRASH! It really is a problem for beginners.
