Re: Spindle turns starts on CNC12 boot up.
I had a chassis ground that was inadvertently connected the the DCM causing crazy stuff to happen. My wiring is per the Acorn circuit diagram except I have a C86 board to deal with the CNCdrive drives. The C86 was using the output relay #1 to signal the C86 to activate. The C86 then sends a signal ...

Re: Probing direction error compensation
At this point, I am confident that kinematic compensation would be appropriate Compensation is just that. It is NEVER desirable. There may be times when there are few options; whether that is mechanical, feasible, or financial is a different discussion. I would consider large backlash to be unaccep...

Re: Probing direction error compensation
Long term though, probe compensation would be the ideal solution since this one repeats so well provided rotational alignment stays consistent. How would the machine know what orientation the probe is in? Most industrial cnc machines do not incorporate probe compensation for a reason. Acorn is base...

Re: Probing direction error compensation
The new Centroid KP-3 being currently tested, should be much better than the Drew probe, and other low cost Kinematic probes. Just be patient while we get through testing....
