Re: v5.07 rev 15 beta download now available. updated draft release notes attached.

According to customer:
1) Rapid Override issue with G99 feed-per-revolution moves is fixed. Thank you.
2) Lathe X/Z axis cross-up on Current Position mini DRO, on Runtime Graphics screen, is not yet fixed. DRO still shows wrong axis positions.

Re: Software enhancements request

From a technical standpoint, going forwards through the program with an MPG handwheel driving the feeds should be readily achievable. After all, we already have the ability -- on lathes, at least -- to slave axis feed to a spindle encoder. It should be a short step to slave axis feed to the handwhee...

Re: Unclamp Tool Output Defaulting On

Domenic, You should follow up to find out if, and why, the Wizard would set inversion for a ToolUnclampButton input that is designated N.O. N.O. seems like it would be the usual and expected state for such a button, so it does not make sense that the Wizard would invert the input if the user selects...

Re: Question about Wizard setting: units of measure

Whether a rotary axis works in degrees/minute or revolutions/minute depends on how you set the motor turns ratio. If you enter the number of motor turns per degree (or on metric machines, degrees per motor turn) then one unit on the rotary axis will be one degree, and speeds will be in degrees per m...

Re: ATC functional, but gets some pockets wrong

The 4-digit T code (e.g. "T1717" or "T1919") is used with Lathe.

This is a Mill control. It will use a T code between 0 and 200, combined with an M6, to change tools. It will use an H code, combined with G43, to activate tool height offsets.

Re: little problems with Centroid oak

Your expected-velocity (VExp) vs. absolute-velocity (VAbs) suggests a mismatch in both direction and scaling, between what the Centroid software expects the drive to do, and what it actually does. The red trace (VExp) is what Centroid thought it told the drive to do. The green trace (VAbs) is what t...

Re: G52 Question

A parameter or setting in the Wizard to clear any G52 offset upon restart could be another option.
You could just add "G52 X0 Y0 Z0" to your cncm.hom file. Done.

Re: Connectors on "Allin 1 DC"

Tom,

Are you sure about those Amp part numbers for the probe and jog panel plugs?

I am pretty sure the ones Centroid uses are Molex Mini-Fit Jr. series.
For example, Molex 39-01-2100, 39-01-2120, and 39-00-0039.

Re: Optional Stops - Default Off

I do not know if there is a parameter setting that would prevent CNC12 from turning Optional Stops back Off at the end of every job. You could, however, "roll your own" optional stops mode, and tie it to a jog panel (or VCP) key and LED, instead of using the one built into the Run menu. Yo...

Re: My X and Y is off by .2 width of edge finder

On the Part Setup screen, there are three things you need to tell CNC12 before it can set the correct WCS position. 1) "Part position" = what coordinate value you would want the DRO to have, if the spindle center were over the edge you are touching 2) "Edge Finder Diameter" = the...
